Wild in Oklahoma!

It has been quite a while since I've posted anything. Adilyn and I stayed in SLC for an extra 10 days so Addy could meet "Uncle Parker" who returned from his mission in Brazil. It was nice to stay but we missed "Daddy" terribly. We've been back a week and are going stir-crazy! Adilyn has hit many milestones lately and I want to post pictures and video but in our temporary apartment we have to work off Tim's laptop and it isn't as easy as with our desktop. Anyhoo, I can at least fill you in on our exciting stuff.

-Adilyn finally broke her first tooth....about time, she's 9 months old! On the other hand, what mother is happy when her child is teething??!! I think she's getting another because she's not sleeping! AAHHH!!

-She started crawling!!! She is so funny because when she gets on a roll, she starts to giggle because she realizes she can go wherever she desires. She is NOT happy if you are behind a closed door though, bad day in Addy's world! :)

-She's pulling herself up on EVERYTHING! I do mean everything.....Tim and I heard her laughing the other night and when we looked over, she had her arms wrapped around Calvin and had used him to pull herself up to standing. Such good dogs though, they just take her abuse! This does mean though that we're beginning the bumps and bruises stage. She's a tough gal and she doesn't cry or let it stop her, she just get's right back up and tries again. That's my gal!

There may be some other things but I need to go to bed since Adilyn was up in the night and I haven't been sleeping. Hopefully soon I can share something visual of our little munchkin!

....to grandmother's house we go!

Well, we've been in SLC since last week. We drove from Altus to Clovis and had dinner with friends that night. We gave Adilyn a bath and got her ready for bed then put her in the car at 9pm and drove straight to SLC. We stopped at 7am to feed her then pushed on to Bountiful and arrived around 11am. We were exhausted but so happy we drove straight because a terrible storm came in. Anyway, Tim leaves to drive back to Oklahoma on Tuesday and Adilyn and I will stay another week or so to see uncle Parker who returns from his mission on Thursday.

We've had a blast visiting family and friends and Adilyn has just been an angel! She is such a happy and fun little girl and she's been the life of the party. There's a lot to see at grandma's house and I'm a little worried about when we return to our tiny, barely furnished apartment where it's just she and I and the puppies all day! We may be needing to find some play groups:).

Here's a few photos from our trip so far. Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New Year!

Yes, we made it!

Well, we have made it to Altus, Oklahoma and are finally settled in. The drive wasn't bad and Adilyn did SO well! It was the 3 days after that she was a pill, then she got sick for 2 days, then better for 1 and has been a PILL the last 3 days again. If she'd just tell me her problem, I'd try to fix it....really, I will!!
We just had our internet set up yesterday. We've been without it for about 2 weeks or so and you don't realize how much you rely on it for day to day things. We'll be headed to SLC next week and I'll try to post some pictures and fun stuff, I just wanted to let ya'll know we're here and things are great. We really have been blessed, we like our place and Tim is enjoying training. Hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday Season!!!! XOXO

ps...on Paul and Beth Bernards' blog (on our favorites) there is darling video of Adilyn and her best friend, Claire. You MUST take a look, I wish we had taken more video's of them...they loved to play together. We'll miss you guys! :)

Hi All, since I'm done with Pilot training, and I'm a highly trained aviator the Air Force decided to give me a bunch of time off instead of putting me right to work, so I've got some time to goof off.
To the left you will see my new office the seat on the right will be mine. From the right seat I can pretty much move all the switches and push all of the buttons in the cockpit which is what I usually do during a flight, just cause I'm curious and want to see what will happen. This plane also has a Heads up Display just in case we need to go head to head with some Russian Migs or if the Navy gets out of line. I'm pretty excited to get started flying this monster, so needless to say I can't wait to get to Atlus AFB and then Dover so I can get to work.

I know it has no missiles, drops no bombs and I defiantly won't be switching to guns, but if this thing does not excite you I don't know what would.

Exhausted Mommy!!

Today has definitely been a challenging mommy day! So, I decided I needed to post something cute and wonderful about my little munch kin! This was today before church. She was such a little angel at church, even flirting a bit with the missionaries sitting behind her :)....yikes, is she starting early?! The rest of the day she was a challenge, I think she may be teething. It makes me sad when she isn't her usual "Addy self". Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. At least I can look at cute pictures of her and remember that not every day is difficult and I'm suppose to be the strong one for her....I'm the mommy right? Anyone else have kids who don't nap when they're teething??

Tim's Graduation Day

Well, I promised many of you we'd post pictures of Tim's UPT Graduation so here they are. What a GREAT weekend it was! Family was here and the Air Force did a nice job of showcasing what the students went through this year AND what a great honor it is to be a US Air Force Pilot. Let me just take this opportunity to tell Tim (and all of you) how proud I am of him. Yes, it's been a rough year in many ways but how happy I am to be his wife and the mother of his baby girl. (The family in front of the T-1)

He is such an inspiration to me and I was so filled with emotion as I watched him receive his "wings". The Lord has blessed us in many ways and I am so excited to begin this next adventure together......onto Dover AFB and the C-17!!!

Isn't food suppose to go in your mouth?

Mmmmmm......Sweet Potatoes! So, Adilyn has begun eating "big girl" food and she LOVES it! She has a terrible habit though of putting her hands in her mouth DIRECTLY after she takes a mouth full. Then, she plays with her feet and hair, rubs her eyes and face and any other action mommy doesn't want her to do with her messy hands! It is pretty cute though. This weekend is Daddy's graduation and the family is here so we're having a blast. We'll post pictures as soon as all the festivities are over. Tim is so thrilled to be finished (uh, so am I) and I am so proud of him!
