Christmas....

Wow, Christmas has come and gone and so has 2008! So much has happened and we're so happy and blessed to be where we are. I think I was more excited for Christmas than anyone in my little family. Although Adilyn loves the tree, star, Santa (not in person though, come on, does any 20 month old)! She did not, however, like presents! She wanted nothing to do with them until we had unwrapped it completely and she could see it was a toy. All my hard work of wrapping EVERYTHING went totally unappreciated. Oh well, it looked pretty under the tree! Here are some photos since that's what you've really come to this blog to see, right? Hope everyone had a great Holiday!! :)

Christmas!!!!!

Her rocking horse, maybe her favorite...
Family
Or maybe the cooking set is her favorite....
What a disaster!

Christmas Eve, helping mom cook, well, she needed a break!

Boyfriends and Mommy's Helper

Adilyn and Carsen (her boyfriend)
Did someone call Merry Maids?

Daddy's gift from Turkey....matching jackets!
Yes, I am very much aware of how little hair my child has and how she is often called a boy! :)

Where does the time go? I can't believe how quickly Adilyn is changing and growing up. She has become quite the talker and she loves to be mommy's little helper. Tim has been to some pretty neat places, I'll have to let him post on that but he did make it to India on the last trip! Thanksgiving was great! We fried a turkey again and invited some friends and the missionaries over. I am now doing overtime in the gym to make up for the holiday! :)
I am trying to get better at taking more pictures lately so I'll try to post them as the holiday season progresses. I hope y'all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

A Little Catchin Up!

I haven't been into posting much lately. Actually, I haven't been into doing anything on the computer lately since Adilyn insists that SHE must be involved. She is now going to bed later and sleeping an hour less for her nap, therefore.....I have no time to get things done and I'm very tired. ANYWAY, we still have fun! Plus, I have been busy with Primary, my aunt came to town, more family is coming tomorrow and Tim has been out of town. For those of you who may peruse blogs once in a while and are interested.....here's what we've been up to lately.

On September 11th, Tim's squadron had another new plane arrive and we went to check it out. Adilyn LOOOOVES planes and she ran from one end to the other, sat in the cockpit, and insisted on climbing up the stairs by herself! Here's a few photos of the C-17 Tim flies.....he just flew this plane last week and went to Italy, Germany and a bunch of other places.

These are a couple photos of our trip to the Baltimore Zoo with Aunt Suzy! What a great time we had with her, we miss her!! :)

Another day at the beach!

Yes, Adilyn is STILL a beach bum and loves the water! This weekend we went to a different beach and the waves were much bigger for her. She LOVED hanging onto Dad's hands and letting the water lift her off the sand. Too fun!!!

Making some friends!!
The day would NOT be complete without Adilyn getting her favorite....yogurt!!!

A 30th Birthday Bash!!!

Yesterday was my hubby's 30th birthday!!! I hope he had a fun day, I tried to get guys at work to harass him since he doesn't like attention drawn to himself....I'm not sure they did a good enough job. I should have thought of something clever to embarrass him REALLY WELL!!! Anyway, we went to Hibachi with some friends....the Kroshus', Modell's, Power's, and the Houcks. Thanks for coming everyone, we had a really great time and it made it a special day for Tim. Adilyn thought the chef cooking in front of us was pretty crazy. She watched him and each time the knives would clank together, she'd blink and get this bewildered look on her face. It kept her entertained though....here's her watching with wonder and playing with Daddy's balloons!

Hope you had a great birthday, babe!! We love you!!!

Little Beach Bum!!

Things have been a bit busy with Primary, family visiting and Tim coming and going that I haven't taken the time to post anything lately. So, here's some photos I thought we'd share. This truly is our little fish/beach bum! She has always loved the pool and it's funny because we have 2 on our "housing" side of base that are across the street from each other. Each time we are in the car and come around the corner near the pools, she begins yelling "POOL", kicks her feet and flails her arms around.

Oh the days of summer!

Summer seems to be flying by for us. Tim recently returned from his "dollar ride" which means it was his first trip overseas. He went to Germany, England and Kyrgyzstan. It was a great time for him, he flew quite a bit and learned a lot. Plus, he did an air show and now can add 3 more countries to his list! Addy and I had fun while he was away, doing girl stuff. Here's some photos from some of the summer fun. She is a little fish so anytime she can find water, she will!! Even if that means it's the dogs bowl, the toilet (GROSS!), sink, or a tiny puddle. She is a very independent girl and I can't believe she's getting so grown up. She reads books all day long, loves to help mom in the kitchen, eats yogurt and many things with a spoon all by herself and she is signing a lot more now and learning more words like cold, pretty, go (she yells this at the dogs when they need to come inside!), gone and of course, DADDY! She walked around the house when Tim was gone, yelling it for like a minute straight! Too cute!

Anyway, we're making some great friends here and really settling into our new home. Can't wait til we get some visitors though, next month we're having some and it'll be fun to see family.

I'm a big girl, I promise!

Here are a few pictures of our little "big girl"! She is such a good helper trying to lend a hand to Dad in the garage and is growing up way too fast by wanting to dress in mom's clothes! Doesn't she know she's suppose to stay small? :) The other pictures are from our stay in Utah. The one below is from her birthday when we went to Discovery Gateway with her cousin Spencer.

Hi, uh, I'm in Delaware!

Well, after months of craziness.....we've finally arrived and are moved into our new house. Things with the move went well, however, we did lose our little red Cavalier someplace in Arkansas! I guess it couldn't last forever, it was a great little car for 11 years for us. Poor Tim and my step-dad, they had to deal with it breaking down during the move. Oh well, all is good now.

This is a picture of our house. We love it, it's brand new and huge compared to the places we've been the last 7 years! Adilyn is finally feeling settled. It sure is interesting how a little one can change once her life gets stable! Now she is a total terror....ok, she's really the "destructor"! She loves the dogs but she loves them too hard for their liking. She just can't get enough of her closet or mine and today found a leopard print shirt of mine and had to put it on herself! Yesterday at the outlets she ran into Carter's and went straight for the racks ready to pull all the clothes off. Too funny! She loves to say "Daddy" and is totally into giving hugs now and we can't get enough. She's also begun to hide behind her glider....aparently she "disappears" if she's back there and gets a BIG kick out of it.

Well, Tim and I wish you all would come visit us. We have plenty of room and there's TONS to do here on the east coast. Just plan the day and let us know, we'd love to have you. Now that our life is becoming more stable, we'll get back to posting and checking our friends blogs to see what is happening with you.

ps....can anyone name the movie the title of this post is from??? I've been dyin for someone to know it. :)

Sorry, but we're goin crazy here!

Well, the time has come and we're moving to Delaware. Sorry for the lack of communication lately, I have been in Idaho for quite a while with my grandparents. What a great time it was to relax with them and let Adilyn get to know them since we're moving far away. Plus, I had a chance to see my dad and his wife quite a bit so all around it was a perfect trip!

I just wanted to quickly post because Tim is back in Del Rio (YIPPPEEEEE, Surivival is OVER!) and we are beginning the moving tomorrow. My dad leaves Bountiful with my car and dogs tomorrow and he'll meet up with Tim in Oklahoma on Monday. Then, Tuesday they will begin the drive to Delaware and Adilyn and I will fly out that morning from SLC and head to Philly where my dear friend, Nikki, will pick us up.

WOW, I'm out of breath just typing that paragraph! So, I'm sorry I haven't posted pics of Adilyn's birthday and such...it'll still have to wait. Thanks for all your love and support during this crazy time for us. We're very excited and wish you all would come visit us!!!!

A Year Goes By So Fast....

It isn't Adilyn's birthday until Wednesday but I have been reflecting back to last year since I had her on Monday morning. WOW! How quickly a year goes by and how sad I am to have those baby months gone. It is nice, however, to see her learn and grow. It seems she has truly become a little toddler in the last couple weeks with walking, talking more, getting more teeth and interacting...oh, and of course, who could forget the tantrums that have begun? :)

What a crazy time it was, last April. Tim was finishing the second "track" of his training and I was a balloon ready to pop with swollen feet that wouldn't hardly fit into Crock's! I planned Adilyn's birth (c-section) according to when Tim could have a couple days to spend with us and all my efforts went down the drain because the Air Force's Instructor's are incredibly thoughtful....another story for another day....I'd hate to ruin this lovely post about my sweet princess:).

We went in early Monday morning and Adilyn joined us at 9:00am. How MUCH she looked like Tim, it was incredible! Everything went really well and we were filled with joy that our baby had arrived. Tim had to fly the next day so needless to say, he was unable to spend much time with us at the hospital Tuesday or Wednesday so we went home a day early. How incredible it was to see Tim's confidence as a new father. He jumped right in (partly because I was recovering) and changed diapers, held her, got her dressed, etc. How intensely my love for him grew and what a GREAT dad he is! I am truly blessed with a wonderfuly supportive husband who sacrifices so much for us. We miss you babe (he's at Survival training til the end of the month).

Anyway, didn't want to post something terribly long but I just wanted to share with you my thoughts from today. How wonderful it is to be a mother and ESPECIALLY Adilyn's mother! How much I love my little munchkin!!!!

Why would I remove Tim's post?

So, I've been working on getting a new post together because we had an early B-day party for Adilyn since Tim was going to be at Survival. But, it's difficult to get things together since I'm at my parents and I still don't have it ready with pictures and the video. I did, however, want to let my husband know though.....I didn't remove your last post, either it didn't save or it's old enough that it was archived! Such a cutie....he doesn't blog too often! :)

We did have a chance to take some family photos with Tim's family while in SLC. For the heck of it we decided to take a picture of the 3 of us and some with Adilyn. Stay tuned for our little Addy and her 1-year birthday party.....

Hey ladies and gents I thought I would take a moment and "blog" its been a while and I see that Crista has removed my last post. Fisrt an update on me and where I am for that last few days I have been in Salt Lake City spending time with the family before I head back to Del Rio then Spokane Wa for yet 3 more weeks of training. This time it is Survival training. Imagine 5 fun filled days in the mountains in April with no food followed by SERE training if you don't know what that is google it, I'll only say it sucks, and I will be glad when its over. After that is Del Rio, Altus then "Dover or Bust". Can't wait to get there and start downing crab cakes like they are going out of style. I 'm also very excited to start flying operationaly as all of my flying to this point has been training. I hope to see Europe and Iraq from 30,000 ft this summer, and who knows where else.

Now I would like to make mention that there is a lot of "frilly" stuff going on all over these blog pages, gentlemen its time to "butch it up a little". I'll take the fisrt step and post some photos of the greatest Airlifter the world has ever know. The GlobeMASTER is aptley named, and after having logged some 30 hours between training sorties and rides to Tacoma and Charlston I am quiet sure I fly the greatest Lifter that has ever split air molecules at FL340 or FL003 for that matter. Here are some more photos for your viewing enjoyment. In Closing "Gentlemen, Step it up, and good day to you ladies out there and "Above All" Blue Skies". (p.s. pun intended)

It's All About Baby Steps...

I wish I were referring to Adilyn when I say "Baby Steps" but not quite yet. She is walking along everything and standing on her own but she isn't taking those steps yet. What I am referring to is.....we're leaving Altus and we're 1 step closer to Dover! So, yes, we're moving again! Tim has his 3 flights left and then he's finished. He was told Wednesday afternoon that he'd be going to Charleston on Friday so he left this morning and he'll be home Monday night (he'll be stopping in Florida and Key West before getting to Charleston...don't know that he'll be able to see some sights though). This leaves Addy and I to pack up and clean the apartment this weekend. Hopefully I won't go crazy because all she does lately is hang on me and whine....any ideas on how to get her to stop that?? PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!! I was hoping for a break while she naps but as I type this I can hear her in her crib, another nap cut short...only 40 minutes MAX. :(

Anyway, Grandma Julie comes Monday so she can drive to Utah with us, we'll probably drive away on Wednesday and Tim will leave when he finishes his flights. How ready I am to move on. I've met some great people in our ward though, so it's a little bitter sweet to leave.

Boredom in Oklahoma....

I know I haven't posted much lately, mostly because there's been a bit of boredom with us. The weather hasn't been good so we've been cooped up inside mostly. I did realize, however, that Adilyn has been doing some fun stuff so I thought I would share. She is becoming such a character and has such a fun personality. She has become very cuddly and loving....which, for us is SOOOO fun since she was NOT a cuddly baby at all! She absolutely wanted her space and to be left alone. She rests her head on you and has become very fond of "blankie's". She wave's "bye-bye", is trying some sign language (her own version), loves to eat anything off mom's plate--even asparagus, bb-q ribs, peas, etc. She is becoming a very good typer on dad's laptop and she is attached to the remote and even turns on her Signing Time or Baby Einstein DVD's (she, of course, has no idea what she's doing but Tim and I get a kick out of the fact that anytime she gets a hold of it she turns it to "her" show). Here's some pictures we took on Valentine's and the last couple weeks. The pig hat is a gift from "Aunt Sarah" in Clovis, NM...so cute with an outfit and bib.

Watching Baby Einstein

Calvin is just her little best friend!

Her favorite place....walking along the couch and coffee table. She's cruising EVERYWHERE and standing on her own a bit.
Things are going well here. Tim is enjoying his flying and simulators and he had his first check ride where he did REALLY well!!! He'll be done next month and then onto survival training then Dover. We're so excited we can hardly wait to get there! Hopefully we'll have visitors....East Coast baby!!!! So much to do!!!! :)

Happy Birthday Claire Bear!!

When you move so often in the Air Force, it is never easy to leave friends. But, what I have found is it's even HARDER when your children have friends. Yes, Adilyn is only 9 months old but she had a sweet little friend, Claire. They would have play dates....Claire would get incredibly excited and squeal and Adilyn would cry. Beth (Claire's mom) and I couldn't help but laugh because Claire was just happy to see Addy and Addy was just scared. Anyway, today is Claire's 1 year birthday and we wish we could celebrate with her. We did have a web cam chat though so that's better than nothing. They can always be pen pal's and come to Dover so the two of them can ice skate!! (soooo excited for that) Here's a couple photos of the two, I thought there were more of them but I guess that's all we took. Just another reminder to take as many photos of the precious people in your life that you can. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAIRE BEAR!!!
