....to grandmother's house we go!

Well, we've been in SLC since last week. We drove from Altus to Clovis and had dinner with friends that night. We gave Adilyn a bath and got her ready for bed then put her in the car at 9pm and drove straight to SLC. We stopped at 7am to feed her then pushed on to Bountiful and arrived around 11am. We were exhausted but so happy we drove straight because a terrible storm came in. Anyway, Tim leaves to drive back to Oklahoma on Tuesday and Adilyn and I will stay another week or so to see uncle Parker who returns from his mission on Thursday.

We've had a blast visiting family and friends and Adilyn has just been an angel! She is such a happy and fun little girl and she's been the life of the party. There's a lot to see at grandma's house and I'm a little worried about when we return to our tiny, barely furnished apartment where it's just she and I and the puppies all day! We may be needing to find some play groups:).

Here's a few photos from our trip so far. Hope you all had a wonderful Holiday and a Happy New Year!

Yes, we made it!

Well, we have made it to Altus, Oklahoma and are finally settled in. The drive wasn't bad and Adilyn did SO well! It was the 3 days after that she was a pill, then she got sick for 2 days, then better for 1 and has been a PILL the last 3 days again. If she'd just tell me her problem, I'd try to fix it....really, I will!!
We just had our internet set up yesterday. We've been without it for about 2 weeks or so and you don't realize how much you rely on it for day to day things. We'll be headed to SLC next week and I'll try to post some pictures and fun stuff, I just wanted to let ya'll know we're here and things are great. We really have been blessed, we like our place and Tim is enjoying training. Hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday Season!!!! XOXO

ps...on Paul and Beth Bernards' blog (on our favorites) there is darling video of Adilyn and her best friend, Claire. You MUST take a look, I wish we had taken more video's of them...they loved to play together. We'll miss you guys! :)

Hi All, since I'm done with Pilot training, and I'm a highly trained aviator the Air Force decided to give me a bunch of time off instead of putting me right to work, so I've got some time to goof off.
To the left you will see my new office the seat on the right will be mine. From the right seat I can pretty much move all the switches and push all of the buttons in the cockpit which is what I usually do during a flight, just cause I'm curious and want to see what will happen. This plane also has a Heads up Display just in case we need to go head to head with some Russian Migs or if the Navy gets out of line. I'm pretty excited to get started flying this monster, so needless to say I can't wait to get to Atlus AFB and then Dover so I can get to work.

I know it has no missiles, drops no bombs and I defiantly won't be switching to guns, but if this thing does not excite you I don't know what would.

Exhausted Mommy!!

Today has definitely been a challenging mommy day! So, I decided I needed to post something cute and wonderful about my little munch kin! This was today before church. She was such a little angel at church, even flirting a bit with the missionaries sitting behind her :)....yikes, is she starting early?! The rest of the day she was a challenge, I think she may be teething. It makes me sad when she isn't her usual "Addy self". Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. At least I can look at cute pictures of her and remember that not every day is difficult and I'm suppose to be the strong one for her....I'm the mommy right? Anyone else have kids who don't nap when they're teething??

Tim's Graduation Day

Well, I promised many of you we'd post pictures of Tim's UPT Graduation so here they are. What a GREAT weekend it was! Family was here and the Air Force did a nice job of showcasing what the students went through this year AND what a great honor it is to be a US Air Force Pilot. Let me just take this opportunity to tell Tim (and all of you) how proud I am of him. Yes, it's been a rough year in many ways but how happy I am to be his wife and the mother of his baby girl. (The family in front of the T-1)

He is such an inspiration to me and I was so filled with emotion as I watched him receive his "wings". The Lord has blessed us in many ways and I am so excited to begin this next adventure together......onto Dover AFB and the C-17!!!

Isn't food suppose to go in your mouth?

Mmmmmm......Sweet Potatoes! So, Adilyn has begun eating "big girl" food and she LOVES it! She has a terrible habit though of putting her hands in her mouth DIRECTLY after she takes a mouth full. Then, she plays with her feet and hair, rubs her eyes and face and any other action mommy doesn't want her to do with her messy hands! It is pretty cute though. This weekend is Daddy's graduation and the family is here so we're having a blast. We'll post pictures as soon as all the festivities are over. Tim is so thrilled to be finished (uh, so am I) and I am so proud of him!

My precious, tired, little one!

I had to post this since it was a first for me! Today Addy only took 2 little cat naps instead of her typical morning and afternoon 2 hour naps. Around 5pm I was working on the computer and felt her mouth on my arm. I thought she was trying to suck on my arm. But, when I asked Tim if he could see what she was doing, he laughed and said she was asleep! She has NEVER fallen asleep in our arms so we thought it was SO cute. It just melted my heart! Tim ran to get the camera and I held her for a few minutes. But, as usual, my little one woke up the second she hit the mattress and she never went back to sleep! She talked for quite a while in her crib until I went to get her out. Later this evening she fell asleep in her stroller on our walk but woke up when we got home. Needless to say, she went to bed early, thus the reason I am able to post this tonight! Oh, the precious moments we love with our little ones! :)

5 Things Tag!

Thank you to Beth Bernards who "tagged" me.

1. What I was doing 10 years ago.
Well, I would have just graduated from Woods Cross High and was trying to put my professional figure skating resume together. I was skating for hours a day, working out and working as a waitress at Servus Drug on Main St. in Bountiful. (One of my favorite jobs and I still have dreams at night that I have returned to work there again.) It was a darling old Rexall Drug store w/ soda fountain cafe on the other side. We had every option of penny candy available and I would spend half my day counting out candy for the children when they got out of school. Oh, I could make a mean old milk shake too! YUMMY, I miss those days!

2. What I was doing 5 years ago.
Tim and I just moved to Logan, Utah to attend Utah State. I was working at the ice rink as a manager and skating instructor.....OH, another reason I'm SO excited for Delaware....I get to teach Adilyn to skate when she can walk! WAHOO!!!! Dream come true! Anyway, Tim just began USU and the ROTC program as well.

3. 1 year ago.
Tim began pilot training and I was 3 months pregnant and getting so sick! Enough said!

4. Yesterday.
Tim and I watched General Conference (I am so thrilled we could watch it on TV...wasn't sister Beck's talk wonderful? And, the choir sang my favorite primary song!) with Paul Bernards. Beth and Claire are out of town so we had him join us for the day. It was such a great day to be lifted by the spirit, to hear the Prophet and be joined with friends!

5. 5 Ways I would spend a million dollars if I suddenly had it
Well, first, I would give to my church. Then I would pay off our debts, set money aside for Adilyn's college/mission/wedding/etc. The rest would go into savings or investing for a home, future children and retirement. OK, we may need to take a trip or buy something fun with a little of it too....come on, I'm not totally crazy! :)

6. 5 Locations I'd run off to.
What, how can you narrow it to 5? Well, this is my answer for TODAY, it could change tomorrow!
First, I would run someplace tropical and warm where Tim and I could RELAX after this year and Adilyn could play in the sand and water! Possibly Hawaii or the Bahama's!
Second, back to Italy? That may be hard with Addy but Tim and I LOVED our trip there. It would be nice to go in Spring or Fall since we went in the Winter and it was COLD! It was incredible though and we'd love to go back!
Third, I was going to say someplace on the east coast. But, NOPE, since we're moving there I don't need to! :P So, maybe I would go to another place in Europe like England! I wanted to do study abroad in college and it never worked out. My ancestor's are from Wales and I'd love to see Buckinham Palace and Dianna's burial site! Why don't we wear hats like they do in England? I'd wear one, they're so cool and fancy. Oh well, I'd get laughed at here.
Fourth and Fifth....another warm place with a beach.....and possibly a cruise....or home to SLC to see some of the sights I never did while I lived there. Why is that?

7. 5 Bad habits
Uh, how to narrow it to 5? :P
Procrastination, playing with my hair, leaving garbage on the counter so I can take it all out at once, wanting to shop, getting addicted to blogging!

8. 5 Things I like doing
Playing with Adilyn, spending time with Tim and watching him play with Addy, shopping, doing Mary Kay, cooking and baking (lately), figure skating, reading, etc.

9. 5 TV Shows
24, Dancing w/ the Stars, Clean House or any home improvement show, almost any reality show (yes, I'm addicted lately), Law and Order SVU

10. 5 Things I hate
Getting ready...doing my hair/getting dressed w/ "nothing to wear"! Cleaning, lately (I use to enjoy it), washing out all the outfits Adilyn poop's in ~ she ruins such cute clothes, little stinker!, moving, SNAKES, BUGS, HUMIDITY! Texas has them all! (I don't hate Texas though :)

11. 5 Joys!!
Adilyn, Adilyn, Adilyn, Adilyn, Adilyn. What more can I say? Seriously though.....Addy, Tim and my family, the church and especially our Branch, great friends, exercise, graduating from UPT and going to DELAWARE! YES!

OK, after that long novel.....I tag, Tiffany Rudd, Christie Burrell and Debbie Curtis!!! And, if anyone reading this doesn't have a blog, I tag you to get one so I can read your answers! :)

Off we go, into the wild blue yonder.....

Hold onto your hats, are ya ready for this?? Can I have a drum roll please....

Tim is the newest C-17 Pilot at Dover AFB, Delaware! He is so excited because our close friends, Jeremy, Nikki and Carson Kroshus are there flying the C-5. OK, YES, we're BOTH very excited. We attended Utah State together and this will be a fun time for all! We're just excited this year of pilot training is coming to an end. More later, it's late and we're exhausted! Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers, we appreciate and love you all! ps....the pictures obviously didn't turn out that well, maybe you can make some sense out of them though!

OK...who on earth voted for Grand Forks??!!

So this voting thing is pretty cool! It is driving me crazy though because I would like to know who voted for what. If you feel like sharing, please do! I would really like to know who voted for North Dakota? If we did get that, it's possible we would leave before our assignment is finished. It's all making me nervous but I guess I just need to have faith that the Lord will bless us and send us where He thinks we should be. Are you allowed to Fast for going to California??

Oh the sound of babes....

Adilyn and her daddy have so much fun together! She is such a happy baby and laugh's only like this for her dad! There is nothing more heavenly than the sounds of happy babies! Also, she has officially become mobile! She started rolling over yesterday. Each time I return to her, I find her on her tummy. That's fun except when she's trying to nap and she finds herself "stuck" on her tummy and begins screaming! I guess we'll have to work more on rolling from tummy to back!

Ah....the days of summer!

Last night we attended a "drop night" which is where the pilot students find out what aircraft they'll be flying as well as the location. Well, that means 3 weeks from now it's OUR drop night!!! Yea!! There's light at the end of this whole process. Tim has a check-ride this week and many flights still ahead of him but we're getting closer to graduation. We purchased final items for his "mess dress" (the formal/fancy uniform) today and then went to the pool with Adilyn. She could hardly care about the pool....as long as she has her little floatie to suck on, she's perfectly content! These pictures were just too precious, I had to share them. Oh, how blessed we are to be her parents. She had a busy day today and I had to whip out the video camera after Tim and I laughed for 20 minutes at her funny "conversations". She's quickly becoming our little drama queen with her attitude and conversation!

Ogre's and Friends!

Addy was invited to a "Shrek" birthday party for, Sydney, a little girl in our branch. It was so cute, her mom made a darling cake that looked like a castle....it had rice krispy turret's and sugar cone spires! Very cute! This is her friend, Claire. We have play dates and are going to be great friends....thanks Beth, I love you and Claire to death! You are such good examples to us!

Growing so quickly!

Wow! I am so amazed at how quickly time has gone by since we had Addy. I'm not complaining too much because that means time in Del Rio is quickly passing, but it does make me sad because Addy is growing so much! I'm excited for this blog because I can keep you all updated on her growth and how fun she is. Post your comments and if you don't have a blog....you need to get one so we can see what's happening in your life! Thank you to the friends and family who do have a blog, we love sharing in the joy and happenings of your lives! Here are some photos from our trip to Utah this summer....
